Why a website?

My logic (apology or excuse) for this website is so that my true friends will not loose track of me. (Clearly, I have evolved to a point where I'm now very big on the philosophy of Philia and Diatoma's Ladder).

I have now landed on a working title of "Buckhorn @ Castlerock" for the intended journal. I am too old to continue to fight the momentum of the universe against achieving any success with my ill conceived plans. I have realized for some time now that the high cost of living in this part of the country can easily enslave those who are not economically self-reliant.

I am currently uncertain, if this will remain static, but this planned move to the Wisconsin woods is expected to occur in the Spring of 2021 after near complete snow melt there.

Try picturing this as campsite living to start off with! However, if you plan to homestead this area of the country you should be prepared to hustle (or rush) in preparation for the cold weather because in this part of Wisconsin the wind chill can make as low as 32 deg. below zero Fahrenheit (-32F) on exposed skin most winters! Snow will start to fall about the 15th of September, and there will continue to be signs of snow until the end of May. Necedah, WI made the Lowest State Temperature list a few times when the river was frozen over!
